Awards for entrepreneurs

Chennai: Entrepreneurs from Chennai and adjoining districts have an opportunity to win accolades for their business ventures and share success stories at an entrepreneurship promotion conference to be held next month.

The Chennai chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a global network of business leaders and professionals, has announced a set of awards for entrepreneurs. The winners will be honoured at the conference scheduled for January 11 at Chennai Trade Centre, TiE’s charter members said here on Thursday.

Gopal Srinivasan, Director of TVS Electronics, said the award categories include ‘social entrepreneurs,’ ‘women entrepreneurs,’ ‘innovative entrepreneurs’ and ‘start-up entrepreneurs.’ Entries should be sent by December 20 to TiE, 76, Venkatakrishna Road, Raja Annamalaipuram (fax: 044-24617360). Nomination forms can be downloaded from www.chennai.tie.org or www.imacs.in.
