Man murdered by five-member gang

MADURAI: A five-member gang murdered a 29-year-old man at his residence in Avaniapuram here on Friday.

According to police sources, J. Anbu was found dead in a pool of blood with his throat slit.

His father, V. Jayapaul (50), who saw the body, informed the police.

A special team formed to investigate the case arrested four persons — M. Kasiviswanathan, P. Selvaraj, P. Kasi and P. Kathiravan.

A dispute among the relatives is suspected to be the cause of murder.
