Lechatelier posts win

Madurai: Lechatelier Cricket Club beat Olympus Cricket Club by 44-runs to enter the quarter-finals of the Rajadurai Amabalam Thavamani Ammal memorial Trophy District-level Twenty-20 cricket tournament on Friday.

The scores: Lechatelier CC 118 for eight in 20 overs bt Olympus CC 74 in 17.4 overs (Mani three for 11); Oxford CC, Usilampatti 118 for five in 15 overs (Rafik 36) bt Lechatelier School 84 for four in 15 overs (Prabu three for seven). Jeyakumar beats Saravanan

MADURAI: Jeyakumar of Southern Railway beat Saravanan of Billiards Kingdom 100-60, 100-80 in the Madurai Union Club’s 125th year district-level billiards ranking tournament at Madurai on Friday.

In another match R. Sundar (PB) bt Chenthil (BK) 100-55, 100-81.

Earlier on Thursday, Guthoos of Pot Black Centre entered the semi-final round robin league of the snooker-ranking tournament defeating H. Anis of Union Club 43-65, 67-63, 61-27, 32-29.
