Easy wins for Apollo
NEW DELHI: Apollo International School, Sonepat, trounced S.S. Mota Singh School, Paschim Vihar, 5-2 in a junior boys’ league match of the S.S. Mota Singh memorial hockey tournament here on Friday.
Shatrughan (2), Satish (2) and Dipanshu scored for the winner, while Gyan Singh and Ashmeet Singh were the host team’s scorers.
In another junior match, Bal Bharti Public School, Pitampura, beat S.S. Mota Singh School, Janakpuri, 2-0 with both goals being scored by Adit Pathania.
In the senior boys’ section, Apollo International outplayed Amity International School, Noida, 4-1. Dilip Virk (2), Kamal Sharma and Sidharth Bali scored for the winner, while Achyut Mishra was the Noida team’s scorer. — Special Correspondent
