Masters meet from today

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Swimming Association will conduct the State Masters meet on Saturday and Sunday at the Vijayanagar pool here. The meet has attracted over 200 entries.

The competition will be conducted from age group ranging from 29 to 80 years. “We are keen to support Masters swimming more as a fitness sport than anything else. Swimming perhaps is the best exercise for all age groups,” said Mr. Neelkant Rao Jagdale, president of the KSA.

The State squad for the National Masters Championship, scheduled to be held in Mumbai on December.29 and 30, will be selected after the meet, Mr. Jagdael said.
