Jewellery stolen from woman in bus

TAMBARAM: A 50-year-old woman travelling in a Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus lost her gold jewellery weighing about 13 sovereigns near Tambaram on Thursday evening.
Padmavathy, who was hailing from Chidambaram, came to Sembakkam near Tambaram on Thursday to meet her son, who is employed here.
In the evening, she boarded an MTC bus at the Sembakkam bus-stop to go to Tambaram.
After she got down at the East Tambaram bus-stop, she noticed that the gold jewellery, which she kept in a bag she was carrying, was missing.
She lodged a complaint in this regard with the Selaiyur police.
The police are investigating.
