He and his associate tried in vain to burgle an eSeva centre Suresh suffered a bullet injury while committing the crime HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police are verifying antecedents of Suresh who was caught after sustaining bullet wound allegedly while trying to commit robbery at Jagadgirigutta on Thursday night. Suresh and his associate Raju tried in vain to loot money of the eSeva centre at Jagadgirigutta by firing at the staff of the cash collecting agency. Suresh suffered bullet injury when the agency guard returned fire while his associate managed to flee. Later, he told that he hailed from Uppal and earlier worked as driver of cash collecting agency for three years. “He was familiar with cash collection timings and routes the agency staff takes,” the police said. After being sacked nine months ago on charge of stealing diesel, he joined hands with Raju to commit robbery. He met Raju in the latter’s Narepally village on city outskirts during a land deal. Suresh claimed that Raju somehow procured two country-made revolvers and gave one to him. Wielding the same weapons, they tried to loot the day’s collection of the e-Seva centre while the amount was being shifted into the vehicle.
