Bags first Biju Patnaik award

BHUBANESWAR: Professor Dipika Mohanty bagged the first Biju Patnaik award for her contribution to haematology and transfusion medicine here on Saturday. The award carries a cash of Rs. 2 lakhs and a citation. At the prize giving ceremony organised by Orissa Bigyan Academy, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik called upon scientific community work towards betterment of human lives. State Science and Technology Minister Sanjeev Kumar Sahoo and scientist D. Balsubramanian were present.
