Krishnagiri: The children’s park in the Krishnagiri Reservoir Project is getting a facelift to enable the children spend their leisure time. The play equipment, which were in a dilapidated condition, will be repaired and the park lit up to ensure that it is put to good use.

Collector Santhosh Babu said that the State Government had sanctioned Rs. 65 lakh to improve facilities and beautify the park.

In addition, orders had also been issued to install sodium vapour lamps, create artificial cascade and landscape the area to attract tourists to the dam. Boating facilities would also be introduced in the dam. With five acres of land getting ready near the Avadhanapatti Lake, the district administration had planned a water theme park. Steps had been initiated to plant saplings around the lake.
