Mumbai: India’s top cricketers — men and women — figure in the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Awards 2007 function to be held here on Sunday. Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Jhulan Goswami, Anjum Chopra, Anju Jain and the Mumbai team (which won the last season’s Ranji Trophy) will be presented citations, trophies and cash awards in a few cases. Nari Contractor will be presented the Lifetime achievement award which carries prize money of Rs. 15 lakh. The awards: Lifetime achievement award: Nari Contractor, Rs. 15 lakh. Polly Umrigar award for outstanding performance in international cricket: Sachin Tendulkar, Rs. 5 lakh. Best performance in domestic cricket: Mumbai Cricket Association (Trophy). Felicitation award to Arjuna Award winners: Anju Jain and Anjum Chopra. ICC woman cricketer of 2007: Jhulan Goswami, Rs. 1 lakh. Felicitation awards: Sachin Tendulkar (for crossing 11,000 runs in Test cricket and 15,000 runs in ODIs); Rahul Dravid (for crossing 10,000 runs in ODIs); Anil Kumble (for crossing 550 wickets in Tests and being appointed captain of the Indian team). Madhavrao Scindia award for the highest run-getter in Ranji Trophy 2007: Robin Uthappa, Rs. 1 lakh. Madhavrao Scindia award for the highest wicket-taker in Ranji Trophy 2007: Ranadeb Bose, Rs. 1 lakh. M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for the best under-15 player: Mandeep Singh (Punjab), Rs. 50,000. M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for the best under-17 player: K. Ajay Rana (Himachal Pradesh), Rs. 50,000. M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for the best under-19 player: Ajinkya Rahane (Mumbai), Rs. 50,000.
