‘Contentment’ is the new theme

Besides the rawness of the land, the greenery, the monsoons, the ancient art forms, the innumerable tourist attractions and the friendly people, it is the experience of ‘contentment’ that brings holidayers back to God’s Own Country.

Kerala Tourism has taken the ‘deep sense of contentment’ and the ‘strange peace that engulfs’ the holidayers as the theme for bringing out the brochures for marketing the destination and the tourism products.

The new brochures were distributed for the first time at the recently concluded World Travel Mart in London.

New theme

‘Life in a new light’ is the theme of the promotional materials of Kerala Tourism that are to be replaced with the new theme.

The brochures with ‘contentment’ as the theme are to be launched during the ongoing tourist season in the State.

The new brochure and a set of six product brochures are innovative in style, content and design compared to the previous ones.

Kerala experience

“Contentment fits the Kerala experience. It is not a campaign of Kerala Tourism. It is a new way of experiencing the feeling of holidaying in Kerala,” Secretary, Tourism, V. Venu, told The Hindu.

The theme brochure ‘Can you ever experience contentment’ features a ‘kettuvallom’ cruising through the placid backwaters of the State in the cover.

It provides a glimpse of what Kerala has to offer to holidayers and details why many of them keep coming back.

Separate sections are devoted to backwaters, Ayurveda, beaches, hill stations, culture and wildlife.

Each section comes with breathtaking photographs, extracts from the experiences of the holidayers, a brief write-up of the tourism product, the tourist map and extracts and quotable quotes from the articles written by travel writers in many international publications.

Backwaters

The six product brochures have in-depth details about the backwaters, Ayurveda, beaches, hill stations, culture and wildlife sanctuaries in the State.

Accommodation options and a fact file on the State are also included.

Fairs and festivals that would be organised till 2010 figure in ‘Kerala Cultural Experience’ for enabling tourists to plan their itinerary while in the State.

Along with this, Kerala Tourism has also come out with innovative guides for the destinations in South, Central and North Kerala.

All the major tourist destinations in the 14 districts along with basic details such as telephone numbers, facilities and tourist map of the district are included.
