Staff Reporter

VISAKHAPATNAM: The AP Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited has achieved a sales turnover of Rs.48 crores during the last financial year and the target for this year is Rs.60 crores, said its Managing Director B. Jayaraj.

The MD inaugurated the renovated showroom of Lepakshi Emporium at Jagadamba junction and later the ‘Gandhi Shilp Bazaar – 2007’ exhibition at the Viswapriya Function Hall on the Beach Road on Saturday. Addressing a media conference in this connection, he said that Lepakshi showrooms were being given a facelift in view of the changing customer preferences. He predicted a huge market potential for handicrafts in the city and announced appointment of customer guides for the showrooms in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.

Aggressive brand building measures and motivating the employees to put in more efforts were paying rich dividends, he said.
