Spirit seized

Thiruvananthapuram: A team of Excise officials led by Neyyattinkara Excise Circle Inspector, A. Sasisekharan Nair, seized 7,700 litres of spirit, estimated at Rs. 18 lakh. It was being brought in a container lorry from Tamil Nadu. The spirit cans were hidden in boxes containing tomatoes. Case has been registered again Ramaswamy, a native of Chennai, his son, Suresh, Murugan, the lorry driver and the cleaner. —Staff Reporter
