Senior scribe dead

Mokrala Venkataratnam, a senior journalist, passed away late on Saturday afternoon following a cardiac arrest. Venkatratnam started his career in Andhra Patrika and later served as a reporter in Andhra Jyothi for over a decade before working in ‘Mahanagar’, a Telugu daily. The last rites will be held at about 9.30 a.m. on Sunday at the Amberpet crematorium, family members said.
