Chains snatched from three women

About 13 sovereigns of gold jewellery were snatched away from three women by two unidentified persons near Simco Meters Colony in the city on Friday.

According to police, a seven sovereign chain worn by Visalakshi of State Bank Colony, a five sovereign chain worn by Jayalakshmi and a three sovereign chain of N. Geetha of Sakthi Vinayagar Colony were snatched away. Edamalaipattipudur police are investigating.
