Power shutdown in Puducherry today

PUDUCHERRY: There will be no power supply on Monday from 10 a.m. to 1. p.m. at the following areas:

Sokkanathanpet, Meenatchipet, Datchinamurthy Nagar, Kathirkamam, Gandhi Nagar, Coundanpalayam, V.V.P. Nagar, Kasthuriba Nagar, Pettaiyanchathiram, Thilagar Nagar, Ambal Nagar, Gnanu Thiagu Nagar, Sathia Sai Nagar, Ragavendira Nagar, Thattanchavady and Industrial Estate, Gandhi Thirunallur, Amaithi Nagar, Kurumbapet Housing Board, Shanmugapuram, V. P Singh Nagar, Bharathipuram, Mettupalayam PIPDIC Industrial Estate, Pondicherry University, Pillaichavedy and Chinnakalapet.

The power interruption has been attributed to maintenance work to be carried out at the substation in Kurumbapet, according to a release.
