Applications invited from ex-service men

PUDUKOTTAI: Applications are invited from retired persons and aged ex-servicemen for appointment as ‘honorary librarians’ in village panchayat libraries to be opened under the ‘Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam.’

In a press release issued here recently, the Collector said those aged 58 years and above, who had retired from either government or private sector organisations, and ex-servicemen aged above 50 years are eligible to apply. The state government has directed the village panchayats to pay a monthly honorarium of Rs.750 to each librarian.
