Union of security guards formed

KOCHI: An organisation of guards and other security workers called Kerala State Security Workers Union was launched at a convention organised by the CITU here on Sunday. K.N. Raveendranath, CITU State president, called upon the State and Central governments to take steps to solve the problems faced by the security staff. Provision of job security and rightful wages were a important issues that the governments should take up, he pointed out while speaking after inaugurating the convention. Sebastian Paul, MP, and K.A. Ali Akbar spoke. – Special Correspondent
