Bypolls in 11 wards today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Byelections in 11 wards in local self-government institutions in the State will be held on Monday. The wards are Pooyapally ward in Nedumangad municipality, Asuramangalam at Idamulakkal and Hospital Junction ward at Ilambaloor panchayat in Kollam, Kappil Kuttipuram at Krishnapuram panchayat in Alappuzha, Akanad east in Mudukuzhi panchayat and Varapetty north at Varapetty panchayat in Ernakulam, Menon Bazar at Kodungalloor block panchayat in Thrissur, Vandithavalam at Chittoor block panchayat in Palakkad, Thrissleri at Tirunelli panchayat in Wayanad, Peruvalathupamabu at Irikkur panchayat in Kannur and Azeekkal at New Mahe. Counting will be held on Tuesday, an official release said. – Special Correspondent
