ITEMA starts weaving division

COIMBATORE: ITEMA, the Italian textile machinery manufacturing company, has established ITEMA Weaving (India) Private Limited to follow sales, service and spare parts business in India of Promatech, Sultex and ITEMA Shanghai assembled weaving machinery.

A release from the company said it already had ITEMA Spinning India Limited and a new plant was established in Coimbatore at an investment of five million Euros (about Rs. 29 crore).

Service centres

It also had offices and service centres in Mumbai, Ludhiana, Guntur and Delhi.

The Savio-ITEMA Spinning India would service customers in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Technology

The two-for-one twister COSMOS, which was launched by the company at ITMA 2007 in Munich, would be produced here and new spinning products would be developed so that Savio-ITEMA Spinning India would be able to offer complete spinning line technology.
