Rourkela: The State-run Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has achieved a significant reduction in energy consumption owing to the strategic initiative taken for conservation. The plant’s specific energy consumption had come down from 8.69 giga calories per tonne of crude steel (tcs) in 2004-05 to 7.61 giga calories per tcs, a statement issued by RSP said here. – PTI
