Ordination golden jubilee

KOCHI: The church-level golden jubilee celebrations of the ordination of Catholicos Baselios Thomas I, head of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church, got to a start at Kothamangalam on Sunday. The celebrations started with a solemn concelebrated mass led by the Catholicos at the Marthamariam Cathedral there. A rally was taken out from Marthamariam Cheripally to converge on the MA College premises where a public meeting was inaugurated by the Chief Minister. Union Minister Vayalar Ravi gave away the keys of the houses built for the poor.
