Cholamandalam MS to open more offices

It offers products including insurance cover for health, accident, travel

and engineering


COIMBATORE: Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company plans to expand its presence in Tamil Nadu by opening offices in various locations.

Its president (operations), S.S. Gopalarathnam, told presspersons here on Thursday that the company currently had 23 branches in the State and planned to start offices in 50 more locations next year.

This year, the company aimed at increasing the premium income to Rs. 100 crore in Tamil Nadu from Rs. 58 crore in 2006-07.

The company inaugurated its new regional office here and now had three regional offices in the State.

The Coimbatore office would serve customers in Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Namakkal and the Nilgiris districts.

Cholamandalam MS offered a range of products that included insurance cover for health, accident, motor, property, travel and engineering.
