Rural resources national seminar

300 experts to take part in it

DHARWAD: As many as 300 researchers and experts from across the country are expected to participate in the national seminar on “Appropriate extension strategies for management of rural resources” being held at University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Dharwad, from December 18 to 20.

The Department of Agricultural Extension Education, UAS, in association with the Indian Society of Extension Education, has jointly organised the seminar.

Objective

According to a release issued here, the objective of the seminar is to evolve methods for conservation and management of rural resources, as it was essential to achieve sustainable agricultural production.

Three-day event

During the three-day deliberations, the seminar will cover human resource management strategies, strategies for efficient management of resources, indigenous technical knowledge, opportunities and challenges of local bodies and financial institutions and challenges and prospects of information communication technology in management of rural resources.
