3 cabins of abandoned coach gutted

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Three cabins in an abandoned first class railway compartment were destroyed in a fire at the railway station here on Sunday. Mainly the upholstery was gutted, the Railway Protection Force Inspector, R.V. Raja, said. Timely action by the RPF and the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services prevented the flame from causing further damage, he said. — Staff Reporter
