Chennai: AG’s Office drew goalless with Arrows FC in a CFA senior division football league match at the Nehru Stadium on Sunday. In a first division game, Octopus Marine defeated Rangoon FC 3-1. Venkatesan (35th minute), Rajesh Kumar (76th) and Ashwant (79th) netted for Octopus. Mukundavellan (57th) scored for the losing side. Ramesh Flowers winsRamesh Flowers (Tuticorin) defeated Transworld Group (Chennai) by eight runs in the final of the Tiger Line cricket series here on Sunday. Mr. B. Sridhar, Director, Bengal Tiger Line (India) Pvt. Limited, gave away the prizes. The scores (final): Ramesh Flowers (Tuticorin) 155 for six in 20 overs (Arunkumar 48, S.P. Nathan 40) bt Transworld Group (Chennai) 147 for seven in 20 overs (Prem 45). Best Player Awards: Best Batsman: Pradeep (Transworld Group, Chennai); Best bowler: Marimuthu (Ramesh Flowers, Tuticorin); Man of the series: S.P. Nathan (Ramesh Flowers, Tuticorin).
