CHENNAI: The Chennai District Aquatic Association organised the first Tamil Nadu State masters swimming championship at the Orca Swimming Pool on Sunday. Over 60 swimmers from 25 years upwards and a few above 80 years took part in the meet. MIOT hospital was one of the sponsors. V.P. Raman won the 70-74 age group event. Mr. Pratap Kumar, Secretary-General, Madras Seva Sadan, gave away the prizes and Dr. Sadayavel Kailasam, Secretary, CDAA, presided over the function Individual champions (Age group): Men: 70-74: V.P. Raman; 55-59: K.K. Mukundan; 50-54: T. Chandrasekhar; 45-49: R. Parthiban; 40-44: G.Prem Kumar; 35-39: K.S. Arul Kumar; 25-29: R. Veeramani. Women: 40-44: Rani Anisha; 35-39: V.J. Shanthi Mole; 30-34: Amudha Raghu; 25-29: Letha Kumari. — Special Correspondent
