BANGALORE: A 28-year-old man working at a finance firm was murdered allegedly by a person who had purchased a vehicle financed by the firm. The incident occurred in Kengeri Satellite town on Saturday. According to police, Mohammed Sharief, working for an auto finance firm, had arranged to get a loan for Abdul Mukhabil to buy a car. Mr. Mukhabil sold the car to Samiullah. The auto finance firm seized the car as the buyer had failed to clear the loan. Incensed over the seizure, Samiullah went along with his friends to Mukhabil’s house where Sharief was also present. Samiullah had a heated exchange with Mukhabil following which he and his friends allegedly assaulted Sharief, the police said. Sharief was taken to a hospital nearby where he died. The police have registered a case against Samiullah and his friends. A search is on for them. ArrestedThe city police have arrested five persons for allegedly threatening a British couple and making away with their car, gold jewellery and cash from a house in Koramangala 4th block in November. The arrested are S. Jayaram, A. Kubendran, Surya Prakash, Jaikumar and R. Johnny. The police have recovered the car, the gold, three mobile phones and some foreign currency notes.
