Greens’ plea

Kochi: The Paristhithi Samrakshana Sangham has urged the district administration to remove encroachments on the canals and tiny streams that feed the Periyar. Dozens of canals have been filled and turned into real estate properties, thus reducing the flow in the Periyar, Sangham secretary S. Seetharaman said.
