SCR to run special trains

VIJAYAWADA: In order to clear the pilgrim rush in Sabarimala route during Sankranthi festival season, the South Central Railway is operating different trains in additional trips. The additional trips to Kottayam will be made from Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, Nizamabad and Hyderabad. The train from Vijayawada will leave for Kottayam on December 31, January 11 and January 14 and in the return direction, it will leave Kottayam on January 1, January 12 and January 15.

Similarly, The train from Machilipatnam will leave for Kottayam on Dec 24 and Jan 7 and in the return direction it will leave Kottayam on Dec 25 and Jan 8, a railway press release said here.
