Pensioners seek interim relief

PUDUCHERRY: The Confederation of Central and State Government Pensioners’ Association on Monday demanded an interim relief of Rs.1,000 per month with retrospective effect from January 2006.

The association also demanded fixed medical allowances of Rs.500 per month and an additional pension of 5 per cent and 10 per cent per month for those who had crossed 70 years and 80 years respectively. — Staff Reporter
