Ministry takes up compensation issue

PUDUCHERRY: The Ministry of External Affairs has taken up the issue of compensation to the family of a youth from Puducherry who died in Sudan two months ago.

Responding to a letter from a local activist, the Ministry in December replayed that “Our Embassy in Sudan took up very strongly, with the employers, the case for payment of reasonable compensation to the next of the kin of the deceased and they have agreed to do so.” — Staff Reporter
