Demonstration of 108 service held

Handling emergencies: The crew of a ‘108’ ambulance demonstrating some of the life saving measures to local policemen.
ADILABAD: Adilabad Additional Superintendent of Police M. Ashok Kumar on Monday observed that deaths of patients who failed to get medical aid in time had stopped because of induction of the 108 ambulance serviceby the Emergency Medical Research Institute (EMRI).
Mr. Ashok Kumar was speaking at a programme through which 100 armed reserve constables were introduced to the working of the 108 ambulance.
EMRI district supervisor Rizwan Hashmi and medical officer Dr. Gajender informed that the ambulance was designed for quick response in case of emergencies like accidents.
Town CI T. Padmanabh Reddy, Traffic CI T. Sadanand Singh, RI Srinivas and others attended.
