ADILABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president Bandaru Dattatreya on Monday demanded arrest of Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Afsar Khan and MP Asaduddin Owaisi for manhandling junior doctors. He criticised the Congress government for appeasing the MIM at the cost of the interest of junior doctors and patients in hospitals. At a press conference here, Mr. Dattatreya said the lenience accorded by the Congress to MIM has made dictators of the leaders. Earlier, the BJP resident had flagged off the Telangana Praja Chaitnya Ratham on a signature campaign from Chanda (T) village in Adilabad mandal. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Dattatreya said all political parties will have only the agenda of Telangana State during the next elections. However, it is only through the BJP’s efforts that Telangana State will be possible, he declared. In this context, the BJP president once again dared the Congress to move a Bill in the next session of Parliament for carving a separate Telangana State. “The BJP is ready to give unconditional support to such a Bill provided the Congress demonstrated its willingness,” he added. BJP district president Gone Shamsunder Rao, general Prafull Vaze, State executive committee member Nivedita Vaze and others participated.
