Sangareddy: Dommata legislator Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy on Monday demanded the Medak police to present Yadagiri alias Pandu alias Mallesham, CPI (Maoist) secretary for Medak, Langonda and Ranga Reddy, in the court, who was allegedly picked up by the police. However, Superintendent of police R.B. Nayak speaking to The Hindu over phone denied of any such arrest. According to the legislator, Yadagiri was pillion riding a scooter driven by one Ramesh on the Ramaympet–Siddipet road on Monday when some unidentified persons on a white Qualis stopped them near Kalvakunta. They dragged Yadagiri into the van and fled. However, the Bhoompalli police, under Dubbaka circle, immediately denied their involvement. On the other hand, scooter owner Ramesh told the reporters that he does not know the person to whom he gave lift. Yadagiri worked as a courier to Maoist State secretary Ramakrishna. He is married and is a native of Tallapalli village of Dubbaka mandal.
