KE Board triumphs
DHARWAD: Aided by an all-round performance by Sanket Diwan, KE Board’s High School (Dharwad) beat St. Paul’s High School (Hubli) by 95 runs and won the second Saptagiri Trophy under-15 inter-schools cricket tournament here on Sunday.
Former State Ranji cricketer Somashekhar Shiraguppi, noted writer Mohan Nagammanavar and cChairman of KE Board’s Dr Anand Kabbur handed over the trophies to the winners.
The scores: KE Board’s HS, Dharwad 188 in 43.3 overs (Shashank Hulamani 50, Sanket Diwan 46, M. Sumeet three for 32) bt St. Paul’s HS, Hubli 93 in 20.2 overs (Sushant Masalwad 27, Shreyas Murdeshwar three for 8, Sanket Diwan three for 18). — Staff Correspondent
