ANU, Osmania triumph

VIJAYAWADA: Host Acharya Nagarjuna University won the men’s title while Osmania took the women’s honours in the all-India inter-zonal inter-university netball tournament, which concluded at ANU grounds here on Monday.

In the men’s final, ANU defeated Osmania 43-32 and went down to Osmania 21-46 in the women’s final.

Delhi and Kurukshetra took the third places in the men’s and women’s segments respectively.

The results: (finals): Men: ANU bt Osmania 43-32; Women: Osmania bt ANU 41-26.

Third place play off: Men: Delhi bt Bangalore 43-24; Women: Kurukshetra bt Gurunanakdev 36-35.
