Paragotsava from tomorrow

MYSORE: The Vasundhara Performing Arts Centre is all set to conduct the four-day “Paragotsava-2007”, a festival of veterans. This 22nd year veterans National Festival of Classical Dance and Music is scheduled from December 19 to December 22, according to a release from the centre. It will be held at Jaganmohana Palace auditorium. Vasundhara Doreswamy, dancer, involving students of the centre will present “The glory of Chalukya” (Chalukya Vaibhava) on the eve of the inauguration . The dance ballet is conceptualised and directed by Dr. Doreswamy and this production is produced under the grant in aid from the Department of Culture, Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India. Vidushi Alekhya Punjla will perform Kuchupudi, Vidwan S.S. Shankar will presents Carnatic music and Pandit Indrajit Banarjee will play Sitar.
