Freedom fighter’s statue unveiled

NEW DELHI: The Mayor of Delhi, Arti Mehra, unveiled a statue of freedom fighter Ram Charan Aggarwal at Ram Charan Aggarwal Chowk here on Monday.

“Mr. Aggarwal was a true Gandhian. He entered India’s freedom struggle when he was just 16 and fought for the welfare and emancipation of the poor sections of society,” said Ms. Mehra. Member of Parliament J. P. Aggarwal and former Delhi Mayor Farhad Suri were among those present at the ceremony.
