2 held for selling illicit arrack

The Prohibition and Enforcement Wing of the city police arrested A. Chinnaponnu (60) on the charge of selling illicit arrack at Mill Colony here on Monday. Illicit arrack packed in 35 sachets were seized from her.

In another incident, the PEW sleuths arrested K. Komala (28) on the charge of possession of illicit arrack at Mill Colony.

Around three litres of arrack was seized from her, the police said.
