Amalapuram: G. Nageswara Rao, Assistant Commissioner of Labour, East Godavari district, has said the State Government is planning to bring a legislation soon to safeguard the interests of workers in unorganised sector. Speaking at a programme on ‘welfare and self-employment opportunities for youth’, organised as part of Bharath Nirman, Public Information Campaign, here on Tuesday he said that the government floated a welfare fund for workers collecting 1 per cent cess from the constructions in public and private sector.
