Governor, CM greet President

PUDUCHERRY: Lieutenant Governor Mukut Mithi has greeted President Pratibha Patil on the occasion of her birthday on Wednesday. In his message, he said with her assuming the high office of the President of India, “history was created with India getting her first woman President.”

Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, who greeted the President , said Ms Patil has been selflessly striving for the cause of education, health, women’s welfare, industrial development and poverty alleviation.
