CM to seek more funds from Centre
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy has said that the National Development Council (NDC) should recognise the financial needs of Andhra Pradesh and allocate more funds to complete the ongoing welfare and development programmes.
At a review meeting with officials, a day ahead of the NDC meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday, he said the Centre should enhance the State’s budgetary allocation. The government had initiated a series of programmes in the last three years that made the State a frontrunner in the country.
The Centre should take note of the successful implementation of welfare programmes and enhance the allocation.
