State president of Republican Party of India P.V. Chakravarty and Mala Mahanadu city president Jenga Trinadh releasing the ‘Chalo Ongole’ poster in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.
VISAKHAPATNAM: Mala Mahanadu district president Janga Trimurthulu has alleged that atrocities on dalits in the district were growing day by day and demanded justice to the victims.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that the upper castes were grabbing the houses and lands of the poor dalits. He called upon all dalits to unite and wage a battle against the excesses being committed by the upper castes.
Appeal to Madigas
He appealed to the Madigas to see through the game plan of some political parties which were trying to create a rift among the SCs by suggesting their division into A, B, C and D groups.
He asked all groups of SCs to attend the public meeting to be held at Ongole on December 22 in large numbers and make it a success.
The meeting, to be addressed by MLC and Mala Mahanadu State president Jupudi Prabhakara Rao, will deliberate on various issues confronting the SCs.
