Deldan on target

NEW DELHI: Deldan slotted five goals as Apollo International School, Sonepat, outplayed S.S. Mota Singh Model School, Paschim Vihar, in the junior boys’ final of the 25th S.S. Mota Singh Memorial hockey tournament.

Satish Antil scored the other three goals for the winner. Ashmeet scored the only goal for the loser.

Apollo International School won the senior boys’ title as well, beating the host S.S. Mota Singh Senior Secondary Model School, Janakpuri, 3-1 in the final. Kamal Sharma, Dilip Virk and Abhinav found the target for the winner. Kuldeep Singh scored the lone goal for the loser.

The host had something more to cheer for as it won the girls’ title beating Bal Bharati Public School, Noida, 4-2 in the final. Komal Chauhan and Harleen Kaur scored two goals each for Mota Singh Senior Secondary Model School. Surabhi Singh and Vaishnavi were successful for the Noida team.
