MBA examination: Applications for the first year MBA examinations of the Institute of Distance Education beginning January 10, 2008, can be submitted without fine till December 29 and with a fine of Rs.50 till December 31. Applications for the second year MBA examinations beginning March 25, 2008, can be submitted without fine till January 15 and with a fine of Rs.50 till January 22.

PG examination: The first semester M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./MSW/ MTA examinations of the University will begin on January 21, 2008. The last date for submitting applications is December 22, 2007.

2002 scheme: Candidates admitted in the 2002 scheme who have not been able to write the first semester M.A./M.Sc. /M.Com./ MSW/MTA examinations will get one more chance to do so now. Such candidates have to pay Rs.1,000 in addition to the regular examination fee. The last date for submitting applications is December 22, 2007.

Orientation programme: Applications have been invited for the orientation programme (IT-oriented) scheduled at the Academic Staff College from December 27, 2007 to January 23, 2008. The application form and details can be downloaded from the web site www.ugcasc.keralauniversity.edu. The last date for submitting applications is December 22. Details can also be had from the College office on phone 0471-2418989.

Christmas holiday: The affiliated colleges and the teaching departments of the University will have their Christmas holidays from the evening of December 21. They will reopen on January 1, 2008.

Medical officer: Applications have been invited for the post of resident medical officer at the Karyavattom campus of the University. The appointment will be on contract basis for one year with a monthly salary of Rs.15,000. The candidate, if selected, should be willing to reside at the Karyavattom campus. Applications can be submitted at the Registrar’s office till December 31.
