HYDERABAD: The death of an Intermediate student, Sravanti, allegedly in her college, triggered protests by students associations, bringing traffic to a standstill at Tarnaka on Tuesday. Scores of students blocked roads alleging negligence on the part of the college management in extending medical assistance. A resident of Warasiguda, the girl is studying Inter second year in a corporate junior college at Tarnaka. As usual she came to the college on Tuesday and was attending classes when she suddenly fell sick around noon. The student associations allege that the college authorities did not respond when her classmates informed them of the girl’s condition. The agitating students maintained the girl’s condition further deteriorated around 6 p.m. and she fell down from her bench in the classroom complaining of giddiness. Her classmates brought her down to the ground floor and informed of her condition to the college management again. The worried students shifted her to a nearby corporate hospital where doctors declared her dead.
