Flat burgled
Thieves took away gold jewellery worth 500 gms and Rs 1 lakh after breaking into a flat at Sheela Towers in Hydernagar of Kukatpally during daytime on Tuesday.
The house-owner, along with his family had gone out around 4.00 p.m.
On return, they found the flat burgled.
Explosion in house
A portion on the first floor of an independent house got severely damaged following an explosion due to leakage of LPG (gas) in the kitchen at Karona street in Chikkadpally on Tuesday.
Fortunately, all the inmates of the house were away on work when the explosion occurred. Furniture and utensils in the house got completely damaged, the police said.
