CHENNAI: Exciting fare is on the cards as the final round of the JK Tyre junior racing Cup event is gone through on December 22 and 23 at the Madras Motor Race Track at Irungattukottai. With five more races to go, the championship is till wide open with none of the contenders having established a winning lead. The top positions in the overall championship at the end of Round 1 have all gone to the racers from Team WSRF-Leela. Delhi lad Kapil Khanna heads the table with 29.5 points followed by Prithveen Rajan of Chennai with 20.5 points. In third place is another Chennai racer Goutham Parekh with 19.5 points while another Delhi racer Sumit Maluja takes the fourth position with 18 points. This 10 race-event is being held in two rounds in the Formula Maruti category which is basically for beginners and young racing enthusiasts who have not won a race in the last two years.
