Following the agreement, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit expressed confidence that it would help in enhancing the competency of Delhi hospitals in clinical care. Health Minister Yoganand Shastri said there would be no paucity of funds for maintaining the standards in Delhi hospitals and medical institutions. At the signing ceremony, it was stated that the exercise for quality assurance as per NABH standards would first be undertaken in G.B.
